Walnut Hills Is Destroying Cincinnati Public Schools

Typically I use clickbait to entice the reader to check out the article, and usually the clickbait would mostly be false, but this title (in my opinion) is kinda true. What started out as a typical Langsam Library procrastination attempt with my friends (Walnut Hills Alums), turned into a slight research obsession about major discrepancies within our educational system in Cincinnati. In this article I will argue why Walnut Hills has gutted Cincinnati Public School (CPS), why the current system is failing not only other schools presently but also future students in other CPS schools, and why CPS should reign in and restructure this prestigious high school.

For the many things I believe Walnut Hills does incorrectly, let’s talk about the things they do right. First and foremost their education quality, Walnut Hills is BY-FAR the best CPS and it’s not even close. And if you’ve ever spoken to a Walnut Alum they’ll be sure to tell you it’s the BEST public high school in the STATE of Ohio. Which is true, U.S. News & World Report ranks Walnut as the number one school in the state, along with high honors for being one of the top 100 schools in the nation.
